Mary was a very friendly, attentive, positive, and all around awesome waiter. The food was good as well, it is very hard to find good food around Bedford Indiana. The combination of our waiter and good food made for overall positive experience.

Been here a few times, the food is always great and the staff is very friendly. The price is also pretty great for the amount of good, i always leave full and haven't broken the bank!

Great tasting food! We ordered the pulled pork sandwiches, mac n cheese, slaw, french fries, and fried potatoes. It was all delicious! Servers are fantastic. We never had to ask for refills they were brought to us before we ran out. Great service. We'll definitely be coming back!

This place was amazing! Stopped in for lunch on our way to French Lick, IN and I am so glad we did.Ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs with mac & cheese and onion rings - I'm sure it wasn't good for me, but it was sooo good!

6/6/2020 The place is clean, food is good... brisket could use some rub to add flavor but it was great. Friendly server offers free sample if macaroni and cheese - it wasn’t for us but might be for you. The guy cooks in the front of the train... pretty neat. Parking is tight and you might have to walk up. The place was packed when we visited. Social distancing wasn’t at play.

Let me start of by saying this... It was love at first bite. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back. Feels like America inside this place, Good food and the smell of the Hickory smoke...Yum. Fall of the bone good even Slap you mamma good! Hats of to Jim you know your meats and the smoker is a BEAST of meaty Awesomeness. Every bite is shamefully good and if you need the sauce your doing yourself a disservice. God Country and good Meat Radiate from this place. So crank up that smoker and bathe the town in Hickory BBQ smoke.

This place is absolutely incredible. The service was fast, the staff were wonderfully mannered and the food was out of this world. Very nice atmosphere and decor as well. Will definitely be eating here again.

Probably the worst bbq ive ever eaten. Brisket smelled like dog food and was drenched in some sort of soupy "gravy". The ribs had zero smoke flavor, no flavor at all really, no smoke ring, and looked like they were cooked in a crock pot. I couldn't finish it it was so bad.

One of a kind, tasty BBQ!!! Spacious clean and a great staff! It's a rustic cracker barrel, they have some home because of the decor, other unique items for sale, and some apparel items.

This was the 2nd time we've eaten here while travelling through southern Indiana. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the food is great! Was hoping for a Friday night fish fry and also wonder why corn isn't offered on the menu. But other than that, this is one of my favorite places to stop. Was super impressed with the size of the pork chop and how juicy it was! And this was the ONE chop meal! Also had the beef brisket the last time. Sooo good!

This resraunt is great! Most BBQ places only sell that, but this place has more than just BBQ. If you go here constantly you will get remembered, theh havw great service, and are nice. I totally recommend this place and never once regreated coming here. I recommend the lemon with the cherry syrup!

Best ribs for miles. Out the day I was there. My steak and coleslaw was perfectly cooked. Tried the mashed potatoes, yes!Please try the loaded fries. My husband orders two family size for himself.

I'm only giving this place one star because the waitress was amazing. Me, my husband, and our three girls went here on a Monday evening. My husband and I both ordered the sampler platter are pulled pork sandwiches were good, onion rings were great, mashed potatoes were superb oh, and Fries were fresh. However, are ribs were completely cold. I mean, cold down to the bone. We got the waitresses attention, and sent our me back. About 10 minutes later, our food came back(the same pieces of meat). When the food returned, it looked and felt as it had just been microwave and not been put on a grill. Management took over, and gave us $12 off our meal. Probably won't go back.

The burger looked better than it was. The food was average, the atmosphere was neat. Best item on the menu was the fries!

good atmosphere & the kids love it, but our service wasn't the best with it not even busy. Plus most of our food was cold. My significant other ordered the steak and it was so flavorless & chewy.

Me and my wife came in for our 20th anniversary. Our waitress was Mary. She was an absolute delight. She was super busy with a 16 top but made sure we didn't go without anything. The food was so delicious! We are already planning our next trip in. We will definitely be back!

A great place found while traveling to to the Blue Spring Caverns. We were so glad to find some excellent smoked BBQ. I had the Billy the Kid BBQ sandwich...came with 2 sides...8 or 9 side choices..I picked sweet potato casserole and collard greens. Down home style eating with a friendly staff to top it off. We also explored to train out front to discover that it is a huge SMOKER how cool is that!!

Good food and excellent atmosphere. The staff are all very nice and ready to please. If you notice some of the 1 star reviews don't worry, most come from social justice warriors who have never been in the restaurant and some leaving bad reviews are from other nations. These are good folks creating local jobs and good food.

Food has amazing flavor but each time I went it is cold. It is warmed to order an after sitting for awhile you’d think it was cooked to serve staff are very friendly an they have the most amazing peanut butter pie

I have to say, this is some of the best if not, the best pulled pork I have ever had. The cheese curds have garlic and herbs in then, superb. Service is very fast, and servers are super kind. Thanks tanner :)Definitely worth the stop

Great food and service! Our waitress handled our party of 11 with finesse.

First let me say, I have never had faster service anywhere. We had our appitizer 3 minutes after ordering it and our food 5 minutes or less after that. Our server, Tanner, was the sweetest and so attentive! Now, for the food... My husband and I got ribs-which didn't even need sauce. The flavor was outstanding and they were so tender. All off the sides were great as well. We loved this place and if we lived closer, we would frequent this restaurant!!!

Food was amazing. Price was accurate fot the amount of food. Waitress was extremely nice and checked on me multiple times.

This place is very good. Good environment to just relax and have a good meal.

Brisket just tasted like good pot roast. Didn't have a good char on the outside and not much smoke flavor. Ribs and pulled pork were pretty good, but still not much smoke flavor. My son had fries and chicken strips that were really good, but you can get those anywhere.

Tanner was our server. Very respectful and top notch on meeting all of our needs as a customer. The food was very fresh and on point of what we ordered. Restaurant was very very clean. We was greeted on our way into the restaurant and again when we got in. Made us feel very welcome. We will be back. Love the hospitality.

Brisket and gravy dinner $12.49. Way over priced for what I got. Half the plate was mashed potatoes very small portion of brisket which reminded me of pot roast. Brisket lacked flavor, mashed potatoes where tasty. I left hungry. Will not be back.

I have always gotten good service and good food at Smokin' Jim's. We even did our Rehearsal dinner here for my wedding and they provided a private space at a very affordable price. We did it catering style and it was good and inexpensive. It would have been nice to have a waitress more available for our group because it was a little bit more difficult to get refills than I would have preferred and they didn't have the private room put together when we got there. So, there was a little bit of confusion despite reserving the spot ahead of time. However, other than a couple minor setbacks everything went well and the food is always swell!

We absolutely enjoyed the staff. Food was great and the staff was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend. We are from out of town on our way to our honeymoon get-away and stopped in to try it and was extremely happy with everything.

Here on business and this place was recommended. Nice cozy place with amazing sweet tea. Meat was good but my burger bun was soaked in grease. Put the bun to the side and enjoyed the pulled pork and fries. I'll come back I just know not to get the buns now.

I'm sure I violated some code by ordering a pork tenderloin at a BBQ joint, but pork fritters are unique to Indiana, so when traveling I'll pick unique. Their pork fritter is the best I've had on this road trip, as it's closest in flavor to the Pete's Pride fritters I was raised on. So it earned points for flavor nostalgia. Absolutely delicious. If they weren't a 13 hour drive away from me, I'd be back for another one soon. Our server was nice, service was good.

Very very good restaurant. The staff here is always extremely attentive and friendly! Food is good quality and you’ll like this place even more if your a pork lover! You can also mix cherry or vanilla flavors into your soda which is very good, and I personally love getting vanilla sprite. The atmosphere here is very nice as well, with a good view of the highway on one side and a nice country feeling setting. Highly recommend!👍
